Welcome to the Basic Skills Lab. We are located at the Adult Education Center, 2310 N. Monroe in Spokane. The "Day Program" is open to students from 8:00a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The "Evening Program" is open from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Our classes are designed to meet our students' individual needs so that each student will progress at his or her own pace. The independent reading program includes practice in word recognition, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and language arts, depending upon the student's reading level and personal goals. The participant's daily schedule may include classes, taught by outstanding instructors, in math, critical reading, language arts, writing, science, computer basics, and/or workplace skills. The Computer Lab is utilized to offer individual practice with the Pre-GED, GED, New Century, and other programs. All of our classes, materials, and resources are designed to move each individual student closer towards his or her goal at a comfortable pace.
