Ray's Diner Music

Ray's Music came about because in the past I've played in a lot of restaurants and clubs. I like the name "Diner" as it denotes an informal atmosphere of good food with music entertainment, so that has been the theme through the first few CDs.

Fond memories. Hard work.

These days I have been busy laying down more songs for others to benefit. Singing and playing live has its drawbacks... no one will hear the songs again unless they are done live. Or recorded, which never comes up on the schedule of daily survival. At least until now.

I have played music all over the world with a lot of different musicians - the authors of some of these songs. Over time several sets were developed and performed for different venues. So these are the tried and proven songs.

As I moved on and worked with othersets of musicians, some of the older songs carried over into the new arenas. Eventually I have lost contact with the original friends that I played with, and will soon lose the songs if I don't lay them down now from memory. Hopefully they are doing the same.

Those I played with I truly miss. Some are in other countries and some have passed on. I dedicated these CDs to the memory of my friends for the benefit of my family and recent friends.

All of the CDs and songs are available for download here as soon as they are ready. As the songs are finished they are posted, even though the entire CD is not "finished". They are rough mixes and will be re-worked and then re-posted so check back often for the latest. As better mixes or tracks are made they are posted, so keep checking back for better versions.
