If a verse has an ' a ' or a ' b' behind it, it means it is the first part or the second part of the verse, and not the whole verse.
| Rev 2: 10 b | be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life | |
| Luke 16: 10 | He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. | |
| Mat 25: 23 | His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. | |
| 1 Cor 4: 2 | Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. | |
| Gal 6: 9 | And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. |
Version InformationIn 1604, King James I of England authorized that a new translation of the Bible into English be started. It was finished in 1611, just 85 years after the first translation of the New Testament into English appeared (Tyndale, 1526). The Authorized Version, or King James Version, quickly became the standard for English-speaking Protestants. Its flowing language and prose rhythm has had a profound influence on the literature of the past 300 years. The King James Version present on the Bible Gateway matches the 1987 printing. The KJV is public domain in the United States.
