| Salvation | Romans 6: 23 | For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. | |
| Discipleship | John 8: 31, 32 | Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. | |
| Our Job | Mat 5: 14 - 16 | Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. | |
| The Word | John 6: 63 | It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. | |
| Love | Gal 6: 2 | Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. | |
| Only Jesus! | Acts 4: 13 | Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. | |
| Faith | Heb 11: 6 | But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. | |
| Prayer | 1 John 5: 14, 15 | And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. | |
| Healing | Ex 15: 26 | And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee. | |
| Fear | Mark 5: 36 b | Be not afraid, only believe. | |
| Overcoming | 1 Pet 5: 8, 9 | Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: | |
| Trials & Tests | 1 Pet 1: 7 | That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: | |
| Persecution | Luke 21: 17-19 | And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. | |
| Leaders | Prov 11: 14 | Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. | |
| Supply / Money | Psalms 34: 9, 10 | O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. | |
| Other Verses | Eph 3: 20, 21 | Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. |
Version InformationIn 1604, King James I of England authorized that a new translation of the Bible into English be started. It was finished in 1611, just 85 years after the first translation of the New Testament into English appeared (Tyndale, 1526). The Authorized Version, or KING JAMES Version, quickly became the standard for English-speaking Protestants. Its flowing language and prose rhythm has had a profound influence on the literature of the past 300 years. The KING JAMES Version present on this site matches the 1987 printing. The KJV is public domain in the United States.
