If a verse has an ' a ' or a ' b' behind it, it means it is the first part or the second part of the verse, and not the whole verse.
| Salvation | 1 John 1: 9 | If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. | |
| Discipleship | John 15: 8 | Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. | |
| Our Job | 2 Tim 2: 2 | And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. | The Word | Mat 24: 35 | Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away |
| Love | Mat 25: 40 | And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. | |
| Only Jesus! | 2 Cor 12: 9 & 10 | And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. | |
| Faith | James 2: 26 | For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. | |
| Prayer | 1 John 3: 22 | And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. | |
| Healing | Luke 17: 14 b | And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. | |
| Fear | Jer 1: 8 | Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. | |
| Overcoming | 2 Tim 4: 18 | And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. | |
| Trials & Tests | 1 Pet 4: 12, 13 | Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. | |
| Persecution | John 16: 2 | They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. | |
| Supply / Money | Psalms 37: 25 | I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. | |
| Other Verses | 2 Pet 1: 4 | Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust |
Version InformationIn 1604, King James I of England authorized that a new translation of the Bible into English be started. It was finished in 1611, just 85 years after the first translation of the New Testament into English appeared (Tyndale, 1526). The Authorized Version, or KING JAMES Version, quickly became the standard for English-speaking Protestants. Its flowing language and prose rhythm has had a profound influence on the literature of the past 300 years. The KING JAMES Version present on this site matches the 1987 printing. The KJV is public domain in the United States.
